The Problem | City Council and City Staff never clearly demonstrated that there is a problem. |
The Process | City Council irresponsibly ignored all input from hired consultants, city boards, the city’s own extensive study and a vast majority of concerned residents. |
The Consequences | This ordinance will · Stop rejuvenation of Old Town neighborhoods · Ruin residents’ plans, including those of young families · Impact the Desirability and Economic vitality of the entire city |
The Alternative | If historical neighborhood preservation is the objective then utilize the Historical Districting procedure setup by the National Park Service for this purpose. |
